Recommendations for Use
APPLICATIONS: May be used to provide respiratory protection against a range of airborne particulate.
WARNING: Respirators should only be worn where the employer has determined that they are appropriate for the workplace hazzards and the wearer is trained in the product use. The efficiency of the filter deteriorates in the presence of oil or oil mists.
THIS RESPIRATOR MUST NOT BE USED IN:
- Atmospheres immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) containing toxic gases or vapours
- Areas where the particulate concentration exceeds 10 times the occupational exposure standard
- Do not use where there may be a deficiency of oxygen
- Do not use in highly toxic atmospheres refer to AS/NZS 1715
- Respirators should be used in accordance with Australian / New Zealand 1715 section, use and maintenance of respiratory protective devices
IMPORTANT:
• A fit check must be performed prior to using your disposable respirator.
• Always read the disposable respirator wearer instructions.
• Should air leakage occur at respirator edges, adjust the fit to eradicate
leakage & perform the above fit check.
• Should air leakage occur around the nose, adjust the foam nose/cheek
support strip to eradicate the leakage & perform the above fit check.
• When an appropriate fit & seal cannot be achieved do not enter the
hazardous environment & follow on-site policy referencing
AS/NZS 1716: 2012.
*The end user is responsible for determining the suitability of this product for use in their specific conditions and applications. Sample trialling is
recommended and welcomed. NOTE: To achieve an optimum facial seal, the wearer should be cleanshaven. It is recommended the wearer be fit tested prior to use in accordance with AS/NZS1715: 2009 and/or onsite requirements. Training on the safe use and limitations of the disposable face mask must be performed in accordance with AS/NZS 1715:2009 section 2.4.
Disposal
These respirators should:
- not be cleaned and reused
- be changed when the filter medium becomes clogged
- be disposed of as solid waste after use
