Warrington Wolves star Chris Hill marks business’s recruitment milestone with a signed shirt.
Recruitment agency, iSupply Group, is celebrating more than 30 members of staff being awarded full-time permanent positions at leading local PPE firm Alpha Solway.
To mark the occasion, Warrington Wolves star Chris Hill presented a signed testimonial shirt to employees.
The prop-forward swapped his mouthguard for a facemask and paid a visit to Alpha Solway in a show of support for the business’s continued growth.
Chris Hill, Warrington Wolves prop forward and Great Britain International Rugby Player said: “It was a pleasure to pay a visit to Alpha Solway to celebrate the permanent recruits at their factory. Helen and the team are really working hard to not only provide vital PPE to those who need it, but through what they are doing they are creating new jobs and opportunities in the local area which is something I’m proud to support.”
Alpha Solway, part of Globus Group, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of PPE and respiratory protection, developing innovative, high-performing, resilient and reliable protective products for workers in healthcare and across multiple industrial sectors.
Globus Group is committed to 75% UK manufacturing and has contracts with the Department of Health and Social Care and NHS Scotland to manufacture respirators to protect frontline NHS workers battling the Covid pandemic.
With an overall investment of around £70m into the UK, Globus Group launched five new UK manufacturing facilities, with Golborne, in the North West a key location. In the space of three months, Globus Group recruited more than 340 people in the North West and is now on track to hire over 1,000 new employees by the end of 2021.
At full capacity, the business will produce one billion medical masks and 300 million FFP respirators per annum.
iSupply Group has played a crucial role in recruiting the right numbers and talent to fulfil these commitments, securing both temporary staff and permanent positions at Alpha Solway’s manufacturing site in Golborne.
