The innovative PPE manufacturer has been recognised for its resilient operations throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Innovative international PPE manufacturer Globus Group has won the Manufacturing Closer to Home Award at the highly acclaimed PCIAW Awards which celebrate excellence in the professional clothing industry.
The annual PCIAW Awards this year honoured businesses who stepped-up to deliver lifesaving PPE to the front lines during the pandemic and the key workers who went above and beyond the call of duty.
In recognition of the business's accelerated commitment over the last 18 months to produce 75% of products in-country, Globus was handed the accolade ahead of other nominees including Calvelex, Seahawk Apparel, Wearwell, DressBest Uniforms.
Globus Group, a leader in the manufacturing of global worker safety solutions, received the award following its huge expansion over the Covid-19 pandemic, commissioning four new UK factories, and employing an additional estimated 1,000 local workers to provide vital, sustainable, and resilient PPE products to frontline workers across England and Scotland.
Commenting on the win, a Globus Group spokesman said: "At Globus, we strongly believe in creating operational, supply chain and job sustainability for the long-term that supports communities striving to revive their local economies post-Covid and future proofs product resilience.
"We're extremely honoured and proud to win the PCIAW Manufacturing Closer to Home Award which further demonstrates the tenacity, determination, hard work and innovative approach of all employees across our business."
