EN 352:2002
The requirement in relation to the ability of hearing protection products to reduce noise below daily limit levels is addressed in this standard by
requiring the sound attenuation of the products, measured in accordance with EN 24869-1, to be not less than a specified minimum.
EN 352 distinguishes between different types of hearing protectors and each type has to comply with the respective requirements. The main
types can be identified using the following extensions:
- EN 352-1 applies to ear defenders
- EN 352-2 applies to earplugs
- EN352-3 applies to ear defenders attached to industrial safety helmets
