9th March 2022

As an innovative sector leader with three decades of heritage, Globus Group continues to support its communities with unprecedented growth across the country.

The Made in UK Day campaign was created by Make it British last year in a bid to champion all the wonderful products that are made in the UK.

Accelerated by the pandemic, 75% of the business’s protective solutions for healthcare and industry, are now manufactured in the UK. With five sites across England and Scotland and a large-scale recruitment drive of more than 1,000 employees in just 18 months, Globus Group reaffirms why it’s important to buy British.

Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the pioneering technology has been producing one billion medical masks and 300 million FFP respirators per annum for healthcare Trusts across the UK.

And aligned with all Made in UK ambitions, the Group has committed to reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2027.

As part of its commitment, the company will ensure all its European-made products launched after 2024 are net zero and develop and implement a robust product life cycle management process with more than half of its customers.

A spokesperson from Globus Group said: “The appetite for supporting UK companies and local supply chains is important now more than ever.

“Our core values include a deep commitment to the long-term welfare of future generations. That means we will ensure our business and operational processes are as economically, environmentally and socially sustainable as possible. Through this, we are creating high-quality local jobs and apprenticeships, reducing waste and energy use, protecting natural resources, supporting our communities and strengthening supply chains.
