EN 14605:2005 +A1:2009
European standard that sets requirements for protective clothing against liquid chemicals. It specifically covers both liquid-tight (Type 3) and spray-tight (Type 4) chemical protective suits.
There are 6 types of chemical protective clothing, classified based on the level of exposure risk. Type 1 offers the highest level of protection, while Type 6 provides the lowest:
- Type 1: Gas-tight suits
- Type 2: Non-gas-tight suits
- Type 3: Liquid-tight suits EN 14605:2005 +A1:2009 (Type 3)
- Type 4: Spray-tight suits EN 14605:2005 +A1:2009 ( Type 4)
- Type 5: Particle protective clothing EN 13982-1:2004 +A1:2010 (Type 5)
- Type 6: Protective clothing against small splashes EN 13034:2005 + A1:2009 (Type 6)
